Blanco Weather

This is a post on our camping trip to Blanco State Park in 2010. I know, a long time ago, but it ties into our weather unit because:
While driving up there, we past places with snow on the ground!!
Snow is crystallized water frozen high in the atmosphere that falls to earth.
When we got there it was freezing with puddles all over the ground.
Xavier had a blast splashing in the puddles and said this was the best campsite he ever had despite the cold.

This is a picture of Bear chasing a duck in the fog the next morning.
Fog is low hanging clouds.

It was so cold we had to wear our jackets inside.
By the way X has a turtle neck and another shirt under that jacket.

Blue skies.
It was warming up but not warm yet.
Some people still have their boots on and some are bare foot

Here we are kayaking and scrounging for sunscreen, and yesterday morning I seriously thought I was going to freeze solid.

No matter what the weather, it is always good weather for sand volleyball!!
Fishing
Cirrus clouds in the sky, also commonly known as "mare's tails"
They are all in shorts and boy do we wish we were but it was so cold when we left
we had no idea it would warm up this much!!!

So, I bet you you didn't know the weather could change that dramatically in 36 hours!!??
